mash it down and listen fer a good gass hiss
snap that red button down rapidly like a yankee er git a match(we wont go there)I use a propane torch.Warm that safety pilot up good and let that button loose.
them move the knob to the ON position
it should do it since the fire is lit on the pilot., You may have to wiggle that sucker a little, when the the knob is in the ON position make sure the OTHER knob is on high if they is one. that would be the thermostat. Cheaper models make you the tstat , more expensive models has a built in thermostat my brotha
