What specification tells me how fast a water heater can heat up water?
I need to buy a water heater to heat up my pool (most likely electric) so i want to know how to tell which water heater heats up water faster(the insulation value is useless since i will only turn it on when i need to heat up the pool)
Look for any new waterheater with 4500 watt elements. The heaters work on a 220 volt line, dedicated just for the water heater. There's very little, if any, difference between the water heater lines, the pipes all pretty much go into and come out of, the top of each unit, with a hi-temp/pressure release valve on the side near the top. That's the design, and the 4500 watt elements will heat the water at the same rate with the same electrical input. So, you see there's no particular line of electric water heater that will heat water hotter or faster than anyone else's brand.
