Would putting a dehumidifier help with heat in the attic?
No. It would create more heat. Install a roof vent, or a solar powered attic turbine. If you are living in a finished attic space, open the top pane of the window and keep the stairway doors open to create an updraft- even if there is air conditioning on. The heat will escape and the cool air won't.
