Gas furnace > low pressure switch?
keeps popping out > checked all for debris so nothing blocking >
COULD it be a bad thermostat ??? Furnace new 1 year ago
this furnace does not have a pilot light ... this has a piece of metal that glows to red hot which ignites the gas ...
and there is no tube on the switch either ?!
It is, i believe, the electronic igniter ... metal glowing to red hot which ignites -- there are wires to the low pressure switch but no tubes ...

It is not the thermostat that is on your wall. And I don't think it is a low pressure switch either. There IS a switch that measures low pressure but it is often not something that you reset other than shutting the gas line off and back on. What I think you are talking about is a thermostat that measures if the pilot light has gone out (this is before electronic starters / igniters were put in instead). There is a small pilot light (flame) that stays on all year that will start the furnace flame when it turns on the main gas line. If the pilot light goes out or was never lit, it will not sense the heat from it and turn off the gas completely (this keeps you from being blown up completely or suffocated).
So if the pilot light is out, you should follow the instructions on starting it, which often involves holding a button down for about a minute as you relight it which bypasses the sensor until it gets hot. If the pilot light is on and is adjusted (blue flame) and goes out when it pops out, then it is that pilot light sensor and it needs to be replaced. Note that converting it to an electronic starter can save money on your gas bill so you might want to look that up. z
