Buzzing noise from my Ductless Air Conditioner?
I have a tri-zone ductless a/c unit from Friedrich. This unit is new and I need some help on this because the people who installed it says it is like that.
First off is since this is a ductless unit the compressor is outside there for the buzzing noise should not be the compressor issue. I was told by the guy who installed it saying it is the water pump that is making the noise.
The buzzing noise is not always on. Only when I turn the a/c on for about 15 - 20 the it will start buzzing like draining something. then it stops after about 30 sec or so. then after another 15-20 then it buzzes again.
Can someone please shed some light on this for me? What can cause this buzzing? I feel it is something they did not remove or did not secure properly. All 3 units buzz in the same way. I really hope someone can help me on this. PLEASE HELP!
Is it the same sound on all three units. If you place your hand on the casing does the sound go away? If you put your hand on the casing and it dampens the sound, you need screws tightend on the casing. If the noise is still in the unit you are screwed. If the hand trick changes the sound try dampening the sound by inserting paper or carboard as an insulator.
