Dual Zoned Home Air Conditioner?
My home is set up on a dual zone system - 1 a/c heater for the upstairs and 1 downstairs. Should I set both zones to the same temperature or should they be different? I'm thinking since heat rises, that when using the AC I would want the upper zone set at a slighter low temp?
It all depends on what is comfortable for you. It doesn't matter that heat rises as long as the upstairs a/c is working properly it will still maintain the temperature set on the thermostat.
Typically bedrooms are upstairs and living quarters are downstairs. If this is true of your house you might consider leaving the a/c a little warmer through the day to save energy then set the downstairs warmer at night while you are upstairs sleeping.
But really it is whatever you are comfortable with!
