How many square feet will a 9000 BTU AC cool?
An old rule of thumb for older homes is 400 square feet per 12000 btu so you can expect to cool about 300 square feet. 10x30 would be much more accurate. Newer well insulated homes are more like 600 square feet for 12000 btu's.
